On your device

Your runs and streak are stored in your browser's local storage under the key canal-lock-algorithm.v1: the moves of each canal you played, the time taken, the dates you played and whether you have seen the help. It never leaves your device. The game sets no cookies and has no accounts. Clearing site data in your browser deletes all of it.

Measurement

The game prepares three anonymous events: a finished run (puzzle number, solved or stranded, moves), a tap on Share (and whether it shared or copied), and a return visit carrying only how many distinct days you played in the last 14. None carries an identifier, a device fingerprint or a timestamp. No analytics service is connected yet, so today these events stay on the page. If a cookieless analytics service is connected, these events are all it receives from the game and this notice will name it first.

Hosting

The site is static files served by Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes your IP address and request details to deliver the pages and protect the service.

Advertising

The page reserves space for one advertisement. No ad network is connected. Before one is, this notice will be updated and your consent asked where the law requires it.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you may ask what we hold about you, and have it corrected or deleted. We hold nothing about you off your device, but write to legal@PLACEHOLDER.example with any question. You may also complain to your data protection authority.
